our story
Hemisphere was founded in 2001 as a full-service design firm. Our goal was to provide creative and thoughtful solutions to businesses in the Puget Sound region - but word got out and soon we were providing graphics, marketing and advertising to companies throughout the country. Today, Hemisphere works with some of the best known companies in the world, but we haven't forgotten our roots, as we continue to support the needs of many non-profit orgs.
who is hemisphere
Adam Welch President

After working as a designer and production artist, Adam founded Hemisphere Design in 2001 as a full-service design firm. Matthew grew up in Gig Harbor and loves playing the guitar, eating chinese and biking.
Waymond Hampton Designer
Waymond (yes Waymond…) Hampton and his wife, Leigh, moved to Tacoma in 2006 from Kansas City, MO. Having always been an artist and designer at heart, he saw this move as an opportunity to make the switch from a career in the remodeling industry to pursue a career in design. After hearing of its reputation from people in the Tacoma arts community, he soon began taking classes at the School of Visual Concepts in Seattle. As a result of his schooling, as well as being mentored by Lance Kagey and Jay Hember, Waymond was able to land his first design job at the Institute for Functional Medicine in Gig Harbor, where he was the in-house web and print designer. After a stint there, as well as working as a freelance web designer, he met Adam Welch through a mutual friend and sparks flew…er…design sparks that is. In addition to his love for good design, Waymond is a fan of his family, New Community Church, playing and experiencing music, Americanos, good beer, and the amazing community that is Tacoma.
